Cells in the kitchen.

I resisted the iPhone for almost a year (even though my husband works for Apple!). I just couldn't bring myself to muster up the courage to spend $200+ on a phone. I've always settled for whatever phone was free with a contract, often leaving me with something less than desirable, but hey, it was cheap!

A few weeks ago I finally cracked and got one and I am most definitely head over heels. After a few visits to the app store I am now hooked. Grocery iQ is largely responsible for my addiction. This gem of an app organizes your grocery lists to streamline your trips to the market & has smart searches so it's quick and easy to get your list done. No more aimless wandering through the store because you left your list at home or couldn't get one together in the first place.

There are also numerous wine & cheese enthusiast apps full of facts, advice, and logs of your favorites. Recipes, calorie counting, measurement conversion, timers, cocktails, restaurant finders .. all in your pocket! Who knew technology could be so useful. I certainly never imagined a communication gadget would be such a handy tool in the kitchen. The kitchn recently touched on this issue as well, check it out their take on it here.
