Blueberry Smoothie

True, a smoothie isn't the most enticing thing I could cook up, but after watching a brunch challenge on a Top Chef re-run this morning I found myself craving one. Not to mention it gave me a chance to test our our new blender! Here's what I whipped up:

Blueberry Smoothie
2 c. frozen blueberries
1/4 c. fresh cherries (pitted)
1/2 c. plain yogurt
1/2 c. half and half or milk
2 tbsp. blackberry jam
1 healthy drizzle of honey

Combine all ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth. This is more of an idea than a recipe. Feel free to substitute the flavors. Try coarsely chopped mango, raspberries, banana, even peanut butter or nutella. My only word of advice is if you aren't adding a frozen fruit add a little bit of ice in the mix to chill the smoothie.
